2She did not listen and heed the voice ; She accepted no correction. She did not trust in the LORD ; She did not draw near to her God .

2Não escuta a voz, não aceita a correção, não confia no SENHOR nem se aproxima do seu Deus.

3Her officials within her are roaring lions; Her judges are the wolves at evening, They leave nothing for the morning.

3Os seus oficiais são leões que rugem no meio dela; os seus juízes são lobos da tarde, que nada deixam para o dia seguinte.

4Her prophets are reckless and treacherous men; Her priests have profaned the sanctuary; They have done violence to the law .

4Os seus profetas são levianos, homens traiçoeiros; os seus sacerdotes profanam o santuário e fazem violência à lei.

5The LORD is righteous within her; He will do no injustice. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He does not fail. But the unjust person knows no shame.

5O SENHOR é justo no meio dela; ele não pratica o mal; manifesta a sua justiça a cada manhã; ele nunca falha, mas o injusto não se envergonha.

6"I have cut off and destroyed nations ; Their corner towers (battlements) are in ruins. I have made their streets desolate So that no one passes by; Their cities are destroyed So that there is no man, there is no inhabitant.

6Exterminei as nações, as suas torres estão destruídas; fiz suas praças ficarem desertas, a ponto de ninguém passar por elas; suas cidades foram destruídas, até ficarem sem ninguém, até que ninguém habitasse nelas.

7"I said, 'Most certainly you will fear Me; Accept correction.' So Jerusalem's dwelling will not be cut off In accordance with all that I have appointed concerning her , But they were eager to make all their deeds corrupt.

7Eu dizia: Certamente terás temor de mim e aceitarás a correção; assim a sua morada não seria destruída, conforme tudo o que eu havia determinado a respeito dela. Mas eles se levantaram de madrugada e mostraram seu desejo de praticar todo tipo de maldade.

8"Therefore wait for Me," declares the LORD, " for the day when I rise up as a witness . For it is My decision and My right to gather the nations, To assemble kingdoms, To pour out on them My indignation, All My burning anger; For all the earth shall be consumed By the fire of My zeal.

8Portanto, diz o SENHOR, esperai por mim no dia em que eu me levantar para saquear; porque o meu propósito é ajuntar nações e reunir reinos, para derramar a minha indignação e todo o furor da minha ira sobre eles; esta terra toda será consumida pelo fogo do meu zelo.

9"Then I will give to the peoples purified lips , That all of them may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him shoulder to shoulder (united).

9Então darei lábios puros aos povos, para que todos invoquem o nome do SENHOR e o sirvam com o mesmo espírito.

10"From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, My dispersed ones, Will bring My offerings.

10Os meus adoradores, isto é, a filha dos meus dispersos, trarão a minha oferta dalém dos rios da Etiópia.

11"On that day you will feel no shame Because of all your acts By which you have rebelled and sinned against Me; Then I will remove from among you Your rejoicing ones who delight in their pride; And you will never again behave arrogantly On My holy mountain .

11Naquele dia, não te envergonharás de nenhuma das obras com que te rebelaste contra mim; porque tirarei do meio de ti os que exultam com arrogância, e nunca mais serás arrogante no meu santo monte.

12"But I will leave among you A humble and lowly people, And they will take refuge and trust confidently in the name of the LORD.

12Mas deixarei no meio de ti um povo humilde e pobre; e eles confiarão no nome do SENHOR.

13"The remnant of Israel will do no wrong Nor speak lies, Nor will a deceitful tongue Be found in their mouths; For they will eat and lie down With no one to make them tremble and feel afraid."

13O remanescente de Israel não praticará o mal, nem proferirá mentira, e não se achará língua enganosa na sua boca; pois se alimentarão e se deitarão, e não haverá quem os espante.

14Shout for joy, O Daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O Israel! Rejoice, be in high spirits and glory with all your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem !

14Canta alegremente, ó filha de Sião; rejubila, ó Israel; regozija-te e exulta de todo o coração, ó filha de Jerusalém.

15The LORD has taken away the judgments against you; He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, even the LORD , is in your midst; You will no longer fear disaster.

15O SENHOR afastou a condenação que havia contra ti, lançou fora o teu inimigo; o Rei de Israel, o SENHOR, está no meio de ti; daqui por diante, não temerás mal algum.

16In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: "Do not be afraid, O Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp.

16Naquele dia, se dirá a Jerusalém: Não temas, ó Sião; não se enfraqueçam as tuas mãos.

17"The LORD your God is in your midst, A Warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with joy; He will be quiet in His love , He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

17O SENHOR, teu Deus, está no meio de ti, poderoso para te salvar; ele se agradará de ti com alegria; ele se renovará no seu amor e se alegrará em ti com júbilo.

18"I will gather those who grieve about the appointed feasts— They came from you, ; On whom the reproach is a burden.

18Reunirei os que te pertenciam e que se entristecem por causa das festas solenes, sobre os quais havia o peso da humilhação.

19"Behold, at that time I am going to deal With all your oppressors; I will save the lame And gather the scattered, And I will turn their shame into praise and renown In every land .

19Naquele tempo, agirei contra todos os que te afligem; salvarei o aleijado e recolherei os dispersos; farei com que sejam honrados e reconhecidos em toda a terra onde foram envergonhados.

20"At that time I will bring you in, Yes, at the time I gather you together; For I will make you a name and a praise Among all the peoples of the earth When I restore your fortunes before your eyes," Says the LORD.

20Naquele tempo vos trarei, naquele tempo vos recolherei; farei com que sejais reconhecidos e honrados entre todos os povos da terra, quando, diante dos vossos olhos, eu trouxer vossos cativos de volta, diz o SENHOR.
