1Ai da filha, cidade, rebelde e imoral; obscena e opressora!

1Woe to her who is rebellious and defiled, The tyrannical city!

2Não dá ouvidos à sabedoria, tampouco aceita qualquer correção; não confia em Yahweh, o SENHOR, nem se aproxima do seu Elohim, Deus!

2She heeded no voice, She accepted no instruction. She did not trust in the LORD, She did not draw near to her God.

3Entre o próprio povo da nação os seus líderes são leões violentos que rugem o tempo todo; seus juízes são lobos vespertinos, que tudo devoram e nada deixam para o dia seguinte.

3Her princes within her are roaring lions, Her judges are wolves at evening; They leave nothing for the morning.

4Os seus profetas são levianos, homens ardilosos e traiçoeiros; os seus sacerdotes profanam o Sagrado e violentam a Torá, Lei.

4Her prophets are reckless, treacherous men; Her priests have profaned the sanctuary. They have done violence to the law.

5No meio desta cidade está Yahweh, o SENHOR, que é justo e jamais comete um ato maldoso. A cada manhã ele ministra o seu direito e retidão; dia após dia sem nunca falhar. Mas o injusto não se envergonha, nem se arrepende da sua injustiça.

5The LORD is righteous within her; He will do no injustice. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He does not fail. But the unjust knows no shame.

6“Eis que exterminei nações; todas as suas fortalezas estão arrasadas. Deixei desertas as suas ruas. Suas cidades estão completamente arruinadas; nem uma só pessoa sobreviveu; ninguém!

6'I have cut off nations; Their corner towers are in ruins. I have made their streets desolate, With no one passing by; Their cities are laid waste, Without a man, without an inhabitant.

7Então Eu mesmo declarei à cidade: ‘Com certeza agora me dedicarás a tua reverente obediência!’ Pois, deste modo, a destruição não chegaria à tua habitação, nem cairiam sobre ela todos os meus castigos. No entanto, eles ainda estavam ávidos por praticar todo tipo de malignidade.

7'I said, 'Surely you will revere Me, Accept instruction.' So her dwelling will not be cut off all that I have appointed concerning her. But they were eager to corrupt all their deeds.

8Sendo assim, esperai por mim!” adverte Yahweh, “no dia em que Eu me levantar para expressar meu testemunho de acusação. Porquanto decidi ajuntar as nações, reunir os reinos e derramar a minha ira sobre eles, todo o furor da minha indignação. E então o mundo todo será consumido pelo fogo do meu zelo e da minha ira!

8'Therefore wait for Me,' declares the LORD, 'For the day when I rise up as a witness. Indeed, My decision is to gather nations, To assemble kingdoms, To pour out on them My indignation, All My burning anger; For all the earth will be devoured By the fire of My zeal.

9E assim haverei de purificar os lábios dos povos, para que todos eles invoquem o Nome de Yahweh e o sirvam espontaneamente, e com o mesmo espírito.

9'For then I will give to the peoples purified lips, That all of them may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.

10Desde além dos rios da Etiópia os meus adoradores, o meu povo disperso me trarão suas ofertas.

11Naquele dia, não mais sereis humilhados pelos seus muitos atos de rebelião, pois retirarei desta Cidade os que se ufanam da sua soberba. Nunca mais sereis arrogantes no meu santo monte.

11'In that day you will feel no shame Because of all your deeds By which you have rebelled against Me; For then I will remove from your midst Your proud, exulting ones, And you will never again be haughty On My holy mountain.

12Mas conservarei no meio da Cidade os mansos e humildes, que se refugiarão em o Nome do SENHOR: Yahweh.

12'But I will leave among you A humble and lowly people, And they will take refuge in the name of the LORD.

13Portanto, o remanescente de Israel não mais praticará malignidades, nem injustiças; não faltará com a verdade, nem se encontrará nas bocas dessas pessoas qualquer engano ou falsidade. Eles se alimentarão e descansarão tranquilamente, sem que nada, nem ninguém os perturbe!”

13'The remnant of Israel will do no wrong And tell no lies, Nor will a deceitful tongue Be found in their mouths; For they will feed and lie down With no one to make them tremble.'

14Canta, pois, alegremente, ó filha, cidade, de Tsión, Sião; rejubila, ó Yisra’êl, Israel, Vencer com Deus! Regozija-te e exulta de todo o coração, ó filha, cidade, de Jerusalém!

14Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion! Shout , O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!

15Eis que Yahweh anulou a sentença de execução que havia contra ti, e fez retroceder todos os teus inimigos. O SENHOR, o Rei de Israel, está no meio de ti; daqui por diante, não temerás mal algum!

15The LORD has taken away judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; You will fear disaster no more.

16Naquele dia se assegurará a Jerusalém: “Não temas, ó Sião; não deixes as tuas mãos desanimarem, nem se enfraquecerem.

16In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: 'Do not be afraid, O Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp.

17Yahweh, o SENHOR teu Deus, está no meio de ti, agindo poderosamente para te salvar; ele terá enorme prazer em ti, e com seu amor te renovará completamente, e se alegrará contigo em grande comunhão com brados de vitória e júbilo!”

17'The LORD your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

18“Eu mesmo reunirei os que lamentam a falta das festas solenes, os que se afastaram da vossa companhia, a fim de que isso não mais vos pese como humilhação.

18'I will gather those who grieve about the appointed feasts-- They came from you, ; reproach is a burden on them.

19Nessa época, atuarei severamente contra todos os que te oprimem; salvarei os aleijados e ajuntarei todos os dispersos. Farei com que sejam honrados e respeitados em toda a terra onde foram envergonhados.

19'Behold, I am going to deal at that time With all your oppressors, I will save the lame And gather the outcast, And I will turn their shame into praise and renown In all the earth.

20Então, naquele tempo vos reunirei; naqueles dias, Eu mesmo vos trarei de volta para casa. Eu vos darei a honra e o reconhecimento entre todos os povos da terra; quando, enfim, Eu restaurar a vossa sorte e trouxer vossos cativos de volta, diante dos teus próprios olhos!” Garante Yahweh, o SENHOR.

20'At that time I will bring you in, Even at the time when I gather you together; Indeed, I will give you renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I restore your fortunes before your eyes,' Says the LORD.
