13He catches the know-it-alls in their conspiracies—all that intricate intrigue swept out with the trash!

14Suddenly they're disoriented, plunged into darkness;they can't see to put one foot in front of the other.

21You'll be protected from vicious gossipand live fearless through any catastrophe.

21Er wird dich verbergen vor der Geißel Zunge, daß du dich nicht fürchtest vor dem Verderben, wenn es kommt;

22You'll shrug off disaster and famine,and stroll fearlessly among wild animals.

22im Verderben und im Hunger wirst du lachen und dich vor den wilden Tieren im Lande nicht fürchten;

23You'll be on good terms with rocks and mountains;wild animals will become your good friends.

23sondern sein Bund wird sein mit den Steinen auf dem Felde, und die wilden Tiere im Lande werden Frieden mit dir halten.

24You'll know that your place on earth is safe,you'll look over your goods and find nothing amiss.

24Und du wirst erfahren, daß deine Hütte Frieden hat, und wirst deine Behausung versorgen und nichts vermissen,

25You'll see your children grow up,your family lovely and lissome as orchard grass.

25und wirst erfahren, daß deines Samens wird viel werden und deine Nachkommen wie das Gras auf Erden,

26You'll arrive at your grave ripe with many good years,like sheaves of golden grain at harvest.

26und wirst im Alter zum Grab kommen, wie Garben eingeführt werden zu seiner Zeit.

27"Yes, this is the way things are—my word of honor!Take it to heart and you won't go wrong."
