2Não te juntarás à maioria para fazer o mal, nem darás testemunho em juízo que perverta a justiça, para acompanhar a maioria,

2Don't go along with the crowd in doing evil and don't fudge your testimony in a case just to please the crowd.

4Se encontrares desgarrado o boi do teu inimigo ou o seu jumento, certamente o levarás de volta para ele.

8Não aceitarás suborno, porque o suborno cega os que têm vista e perverte as palavras dos justos.

9Não oprimirás o estrangeiro, pois sabeis como ele se sente, uma vez que fostes estrangeiros na terra do Egito.

10Semearás tua terra e recolherás os seus frutos durante seis anos;

11mas no sétimo ano a deixarás descansando e sem cultivo, para que os pobres do teu povo possam comer, e os animais do campo comam do que sobrar. Assim farás com a tua vinha e com o teu olival.

11but in the seventh year leave it alone and give it a rest so that your poor may eat from it. What they leave, let the wildlife have. Do the same with your vineyards and olive groves.

12Trabalharás durante seis dias, mas no sétimo dia descansarás, para que o teu boi e o teu jumento descansem, e para que o filho da tua escrava e o estrangeiro recuperem as forças.

16Também celebrarás a festa da colheita dos primeiros frutos do teu trabalho, do que tiveres semeado no campo. De igual modo, celebrarás a festa da colheita no fim do ano, quando tiveres colhido do campo os frutos do teu trabalho.

20Eu envio um anjo à tua frente para guardar-te pelo caminho e conduzir-te ao lugar que preparei para ti.

20"Now get yourselves ready. I'm sending my Angel ahead of you to guard you in your travels, to lead you to the place that I've prepared.

21Dá atenção a ele e atende à sua voz; não sejas rebelde contra ele, porque não perdoará a tua rebeldia, pois nele está o meu nome.

21Pay close attention to him. Obey him. Don't go against him. He won't put up with your rebellions because he's acting on my authority.

22Mas, se ouvires de fato a sua voz e fizeres tudo o que eu disser, então serei inimigo dos teus inimigos e adversário dos teus adversários.

23Porque o meu anjo irá à tua frente e te fará entrar na terra dos amorreus, dos heteus, dos perizeus, dos cananeus, dos heveus e dos jebuseus; e eu os exterminarei.

23When my Angel goes ahead of you and leads you to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, I'll clear the country of them.

24Não te inclinarás diante dos seus deuses, nem os cultuarás; não imitarás as suas obras; pelo contrário, derrubarás e destruirás totalmente as suas colunas.

27Enviarei o meu terror adiante de ti, pondo em confusão todo povo em cujas terras entrares, e farei que todos os teus inimigos te deem as costas em fuga.

27"I'll send my Terror on ahead of you and throw those peoples you're approaching into a panic. All you'll see of your enemies is the backs of their necks.

28Também enviarei vespas à tua frente, que expulsarão de diante de ti os heveus, os cananeus e os heteus.

29Não os expulsarei num só ano, para que a terra não se torne em deserto e os animais selvagens não se multipliquem e te ataquem.

29I won't get rid of them all at once lest the land grow up in weeds and the wild animals take over.

30Pouco a pouco os expulsarei de diante de ti, até que te multipliques e te aposses da terra por herança.

30Little by little I'll get them out of there while you have a chance to get your crops going and make the land your own.

31E fixarei os teus limites desde o mar Vermelho até o mar dos filisteus, e desde o deserto até o rio, pois entregarei nas tuas mãos os moradores desta terra, e tu os expulsarás de diante de ti.

31I will make your borders stretch from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea and from the Wilderness to the Euphrates River. I'm turning everyone living in that land over to you; go ahead and drive them out.
