16Sugará veneno de cobra, e a língua de uma víbora o matará.

16They gorge on evil, make a diet of that poison—a deadly diet—and it kills them.

17Não verá as correntes, os rios e os ribeiros de mel e de manteiga.

17No quiet picnics for them beside gentle streamswith fresh-baked bread and cheese, and tall, cool drinks.

18Restituirá aquilo que adquiriu com trabalho e não desfrutará dele; não se alegrará com os bens que acumulou.

18They spit out their food half-chewed,unable to relax and enjoy anything they've worked for.

19Pois oprimiu e desamparou os pobres; roubou a casa que não edificou.

19And why? Because they exploited the poor,took what never belonged to them.

20Não refreou a sua cobiça; por isso não salvará nada daquilo em que tem prazer.
