2Fala a Arão, aos seus filhos e a todos os israelitas: Isto é o que o SENHOR ordenou:

2"Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the Israelites. Tell them, This is what God commands:

3todo israelita que sacrificar boi, cordeiro ou cabra, no acampamento ou fora dele,

3Any and every man who slaughters an ox or lamb or goat inside or outside the camp

4e não o levar à entrada da tenda da revelação para o oferecer como oferta ao SENHOR, diante do tabernáculo do SENHOR, será responsabilizado pelo sangue; derramou sangue, por isso será eliminado do seu povo.

4instead of bringing it to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting to offer it to God in front of The Dwelling of God—that man is considered guilty of bloodshed; he has shed blood and must be cut off from his people.

5Assim será para que os israelitas levem os sacrifícios que oferecem no campo, isto é, para que os levem ao SENHOR, à entrada da tenda da revelação, ao sacerdote, e os ofereçam como ofertas pacíficas ao SENHOR.

5This is so the Israelites will bring to God the sacrifices that they're in the habit of sacrificing out in the open fields. They must bring them to God and the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and sacrifice them as Peace-Offerings to God.

6E o sacerdote aspergirá o sangue sobre o altar do SENHOR, à entrada da tenda da revelação, e queimará a gordura como um aroma agradável ao SENHOR.

6The priest will splash the blood on the Altar of God at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat as a pleasing fragrance to God.

7Eles nunca mais oferecerão os seus sacrifícios aos ídolos em forma de bode, com os quais se prostituem; isso será um estatuto perpétuo para eles, através das suas gerações.

7They must no longer offer their sacrifices to goat-demons—a kind of religious orgy. This is a perpetual decree down through the generations.

8"Tell them: Any Israelite or foreigner living among them who offers a Whole-Burnt-Offering or Peace-Offering

9e não o levar à entrada da tenda da revelação para oferecê-lo ao SENHOR, será eliminado do seu povo.

9but doesn't bring it to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to God, that person must be cut off from his people.

10Todo membro da nação israelita, ou estrangeiro que vive entre vós, que comer sangue, contra ele voltarei meu rosto e o eliminarei do seu povo.

10"If any Israelite or foreigner living among them eats blood, I will disown that person and cut him off from his people,

11Porque a vida da carne está no sangue, e eu o tenho dado a vós sobre o altar, para fazer expiação por vós, porque é o sangue que faz expiação pela vida.

11for the life of an animal is in the blood. I have provided the blood for you to make atonement for your lives on the Altar; it is the blood, the life, that makes atonement.

12Por isso falei aos israelitas: Nenhum de vós comerá sangue; nem o estrangeiro que vive entre vós comerá sangue.

12That's why I tell the People of Israel, 'Don't eat blood.' The same goes for the foreigner who lives among you, 'Don't eat blood.'

13Todo israelita, ou estrangeiro que vive entre vós, que caçar animal ou ave que se pode comer, derramará o sangue e o cobrirá com terra.

13"Any and every Israelite—this also goes for the foreigners—who hunts down an animal or bird that is edible, must bleed it and cover the blood with dirt,

14Pois a vida de toda a carne é o seu sangue. Por isso falei aos israelitas: Não comereis o sangue de nenhum animal, porque a vida de toda carne é o seu sangue; qualquer um que o comer será eliminado.

14because the life of every animal is its blood—the blood is its life. That's why I tell the Israelites, 'Don't eat the blood of any animal because the life of every animal is its blood. Anyone who eats the blood must be cut off.'

15Todo homem, natural ou estrangeiro, que comer do que morre por si ou do que é dilacerado por animais selvagens, lavará suas roupas, se banhará em água e ficará impuro até a tarde; depois ficará puro.

15"Anyone, whether native or foreigner, who eats from an animal that is found dead or mauled must wash his clothes and bathe in water; he remains unclean until evening and is then clean.

16Mas, se não lavar suas roupas, nem banhar o corpo, sofrerá por causa do seu pecado.

16If he doesn't wash or bathe his body, he'll be held responsible for his actions."
