2Fala a toda a comunidade dos israelitas: Sereis santos, porque eu, o SENHOR vosso Deus, sou santo.

2"Speak to the congregation of Israel. Tell them: Be holy because I, God, your God, am holy.

3Cada um de vós respeitará sua mãe e seu pai; e guardareis os meus sábados. Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.

3"Every one of you must respect his mother and father."Keep my Sabbaths. I am God, your God.

4Não vos volteis para os ídolos, nem façais deuses de metal para vós. Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.

4"Don't take up with no-god idols. Don't make gods of cast metal. I am God, your God.

5Quando oferecerdes ao SENHOR uma oferta pacífica, fazei-o de modo que sejais aceitos.

5"When you sacrifice a Peace-Offering to God, do it as you've been taught so it is acceptable.

6Ela será comida no dia em que a oferecerdes e no dia seguinte; mas o que sobrar para o terceiro dia será queimado no fogo.

6Eat it on the day you sacrifice it and the day following. Whatever is left until the third day is to be burned up.

7Se parte da oferta for comida no terceiro dia, será repugnante; não será aceita.

7If it is eaten on the third day it is polluted meat and not acceptable.

8E todo aquele que dela comer sofrerá por causa do seu pecado, porque profanou uma coisa santa do SENHOR; por isso, essa pessoa será eliminada do seu povo.

8Whoever eats it will be held responsible because he has violated what is holy to God. That person will be cut off from his people.

9Quando fizerdes a colheita da tua terra, não colherás totalmente nos cantos do campo, nem recolherás as espigas caídas da tua colheita.

9"When you harvest your land, don't harvest right up to the edges of your field or gather the gleanings from the harvest.

10Da mesma forma, não colherás a tua vinha até os últimos frutos, nem recolherás as uvas caídas da tua vinha; tu as deixarás para o pobre e para o estrangeiro. Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.

10Don't strip your vineyard bare or go back and pick up the fallen grapes. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am God, your God.

11Não furtareis; não enganareis, nem mentireis uns aos outros;

11"Don't steal."Don't lie."Don't deceive anyone.

12não jurareis falso pelo meu nome, profanando o nome do vosso Deus. Eu sou o SENHOR.

12"Don't swear falsely using my name, violating the name of your God. I am God.

13Não oprimirás o teu próximo, nem o roubarás; o pagamento do diarista não ficará contigo até a manhã seguinte.

13"Don't exploit your friend or rob him."Don't hold back the wages of a hired hand overnight.

14Não amaldiçoarás o surdo, nem porás tropeço na frente do cego, mas temerás o teu Deus. Eu sou o SENHOR.

14"Don't curse the deaf; don't put a stumbling block in front of the blind; fear your God. I am God.

15Não farás injustiça em um julgamento; não favorecerás o pobre, nem honrarás o poderoso, mas julgarás o teu próximo com justiça.

15"Don't pervert justice. Don't show favoritism to either the poor or the great. Judge on the basis of what is right.

16Não divulgarás calúnias entre o teu povo nem conspirarás contra a vida do teu próximo. Eu sou o SENHOR.

16"Don't spread gossip and rumors."Don't just stand by when your neighbor's life is in danger. I am God.

17Não odiarás o teu irmão no coração. Não deixarás de repreender o teu próximo, para que não sofras por causa do pecado dele.

17"Don't secretly hate your neighbor. If you have something against him, get it out into the open; otherwise you are an accomplice in his guilt.

18Não te vingarás nem guardarás ódio contra gente do teu povo; pelo contrário, amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo. Eu sou o SENHOR.

18"Don't seek revenge or carry a grudge against any of your people."Love your neighbor as yourself. I am God.

19Guardareis as minhas leis. Não permitirás que o teu gado se cruze com o de espécie diferente. Não semearás sementes diferentes no teu campo nem vestirás roupa feita de tecidos diferentes.

19"Keep my decrees."Don't mate two different kinds of animals."Don't plant your fields with two kinds of seed."Don't wear clothes woven of two kinds of material.

20E, quando um homem se deitar com uma mulher escrava, comprometida com outro homem, mas ainda não resgatada nem liberta, ambos serão açoitados; não serão mortos, pois ela não era livre.

20"If a man has sex with a slave girl who is engaged to another man but has not yet been ransomed or given her freedom, there must be an investigation. But they aren't to be put to death because she wasn't free.

21Como oferta pela culpa, o homem levará um carneiro ao SENHOR, à entrada da tenda da revelação, para expiação da sua culpa;

21The man must bring a Compensation-Offering to God at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, a ram of compensation.
AS21
22Com o carneiro da oferta pela culpa, o sacerdote fará expiação por ele diante do SENHOR, pelo pecado que cometeu; e este lhe será perdoado.
MSG
22The priest will perform the ritual of atonement for him before God with the ram of compensation for the sin he has committed. Then he will stand forgiven of the sin he committed.

23Quando tiverdes entrado na terra e plantardes qualquer tipo de árvore para comer seu fruto, considerareis proibido esse fruto; durante três anos será proibido; não o comereis.

23"When you enter the land and plant any kind of fruit tree, don't eat the fruit for three years; consider it inedible.

24Mas no quarto ano todo o seu fruto será consagrado como oferta de louvor ao SENHOR.

24By the fourth year its fruit is holy, an offering of praise to God.

25Comereis o seu fruto a partir do quinto ano, para que elas produzam ainda mais. Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.

25Beginning in the fifth year you can eat its fruit; you'll have richer harvests this way. I am God, your God.

26Não comereis nada com sangue. Não praticareis encantamentos nem adivinhação.

26"Don't eat meat with blood in it."Don't practice divination or sorcery.

27Não cortareis o cabelo nas laterais da cabeça, nem aparareis as pontas da barba.

27"Don't cut the hair on the sides of your head or trim your beard.

28Não cortareis o corpo por causa dos mortos, nem fareis marca na pele. Eu sou o SENHOR.

28"Don't gash your bodies on behalf of the dead."Don't tattoo yourselves. I am God.

29Não desonrarás tua filha, fazendo-a prostituir-se, para que a terra não se prostitua e não se encha de depravação.

29"Don't violate your daughter by making her a whore—the whole country would soon become a brothel, filled with sordid sex.

30Guardareis os meus sábados e reverenciareis o meu santuário. Eu sou o SENHOR.

30"Keep my Sabbaths and revere my Sanctuary: I am God.

31Não procurareis os que consultam os mortos nem os feiticeiros. Não os consulteis, para não serdes contaminados por eles. Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.

31"Don't dabble in the occult or traffic with mediums; you'll pollute your souls. I am God, your God.

32Levanta-te diante dos idosos, honra a pessoa do ancião e teme o teu Deus. Eu sou o SENHOR.

32"Show respect to the aged; honor the presence of an elder; fear your God. I am God.

33Quando um estrangeiro viver por um tempo na vossa terra, não o maltratareis.

33"When a foreigner lives with you in your land, don't take advantage of him.
AS21
34O estrangeiro que viver entre vós será como um natural da terra. Devereis amá-lo como a vós mesmos, pois fostes estrangeiros na terra do Egito. Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus.

34Treat the foreigner the same as a native. Love him like one of your own. Remember that you were once foreigners in Egypt. I am God, your God.

35Não cometereis injustiça ao julgar medidas de comprimento, de peso ou de capacidade.

35"Don't cheat when measuring length, weight, or quantity.
AS21
36Tereis balanças justas, pesos justos, efa justo e him justo. Eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus, que vos tirei da terra do Egito.

36Use honest scales and weights and measures. I am God, your God. I brought you out of Egypt.

37Guardareis todos os meus estatutos e todas as minhas leis, e os cumprireis. Eu sou o SENHOR.

37"Keep all my decrees and all my laws. Yes, do them. I am God."
