2Ordena isto aos israelitas: Quando entrardes na terra de Canaã, que será vossa propriedade por toda a sua extensão,

2"Command the People of Israel. Tell them: When you enter Canaan, these are the borders of the land you are getting as an inheritance:

3o lado sul será desde o deserto de Zim, ao longo de Edom; e a fronteira sul se estenderá da extremidade do mar Salgado para o leste;

3"Your southern border will take in some of the Wilderness of Zin where it touches Edom. It starts in the east at the Dead Sea,

4e essa fronteira irá rodeando para o sul da subida de Acrabim e continuará até Zim; e, saindo ao sul de Cades-Barneia, seguirá para Hazar-Hadar e continuará até Azmom;

4curves south of Scorpion Pass and on to Zin, continues south of Kadesh Barnea, then to Hazar Addar and on to Azmon,

5e dali irá rodeando até o ribeiro do Egito e terminará na praia do mar.

5where it takes a turn to the northwest to the Brook of Egypt and on to the Mediterranean Sea.

6Para o ocidente, o mar Grande será vossa fronteira; o próprio mar será vossa fronteira ocidental.

6"Your western border will be the Mediterranean Sea.

7Esta será a vossa fronteira ao norte: desde o mar Grande demarcareis para vós até o monte Hor;

7"Your northern border runs on a line from the Mediterranean Sea to Mount Hor,

8desde o monte Hor demarcareis até Lebo-Hamate; dali ela se estenderá até Zedade;

8and from Mount Hor to Lebo Hamath, connects to Zedad,

9e continuará até Zifrom terminando em Hazar-Enã. Esta será a vossa fronteira ao norte.

10Demarcareis a fronteira oriental desde Hazar-Enã até Sefã.

10"Your eastern border runs on a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham.

11Essa fronteira descerá de Sefã até Ribla, ao oriente de Aim; depois irá descendo ao longo da margem do mar de Quinerete para o oriente;

11The border goes south from Shepham to Riblah to the east of Ain, and continues along the slopes east of the Sea of Galilee.

12descerá ainda para o Jordão, terminando no mar Salgado. Esses serão os limites da vossa terra.

12The border then follows the Jordan River and ends at the Dead Sea."This is your land with its four borders."

13Então, Moisés ordenou aos israelitas: Esta é a terra que herdareis por sortes, a qual o SENHOR mandou que se desse às nove tribos e meia;

13Moses then commanded the People of Israel: "This is the land: Divide up the inheritance by lot. God has ordered it to be given to the nine and a half tribes.

14porque a tribo de Rúben, de Gade e a meia-tribo de Manassés, segundo as casas de seus pais, já receberam a sua parte,

14The tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have already received their inheritance;

15isto é, duas tribos e meia já receberam sua propriedade deste lado do Jordão, na altura de Jericó, do lado oriental.

15the two tribes and the half-tribe got their inheritance east of Jordan-Jericho, facing the sunrise."

17Estes são os nomes dos homens que farão a partilha da terra como propriedade: Eleazar, o sacerdote, e Josué, filho de Num;

17"These are the men who will be in charge of distributing the inheritance of the land: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.

18também escolhereis um líder de cada tribo para fazer a partilha da terra.

18Assign one leader from each tribe to help them in distributing the land.

19E estes são os nomes dos homens: Da tribo de Judá, Calebe, filho de Jefoné;

20da tribo de Simeão, Semuel, filho de Amiúde;

29Esses são os homens que o SENHOR ordenou que repartissem a terra de Canaã entre os israelitas.

29These are the men God commanded to hand out the assignments of land-inheritance to the People of Israel in the country of Canaan.
