1O SENHOR disse a Moisés:

2Ordena aos israelitas que mandem todo leproso para fora do acampamento, e todo o que sofre de fluxo, e todo o que está impuro por haver tocado em um morto;

2"Command the People of Israel to ban from the camp anyone who has an infectious skin disease, anyone who has a discharge, and anyone who is ritually unclean from contact with a dead body.

3mandareis para fora tanto homem como mulher, para que não contaminem seu acampamento, no meio do qual habito.
MSG
3Ban male and female alike; send them outside the camp so that they won't defile their camp, the place I live among them."

4Assim fizeram os israelitas, mandando-os para fora do acampamento; conforme o SENHOR havia falado a Moisés, assim os israelitas fizeram.

4The People of Israel did this, banning them from the camp. They did exactly what God had commanded through Moses.

6Dize aos israelitas: Quando um homem ou uma mulher pecar contra o seu próximo, transgredindo os mandamentos do SENHOR, tornando-se assim culpado,

6"Tell the People of Israel, When a man or woman commits any sin, the person has broken trust with God, is guilty,

7confessará o pecado que houver cometido e fará plena restituição pela sua culpa; e ainda acrescentará um quinto a essa restituição e a dará àquele contra quem houver pecado.

7and must confess the sin. Full compensation plus twenty percent must be made to whoever was wronged.

8Mas, se esse homem não tiver um parente próximo a quem se possa fazer a restituição pela culpa, esta será feita ao SENHOR e será do sacerdote, além do carneiro da expiação com que se fizer expiação por ele.

8If the wronged person has no close relative who can receive the compensation, the compensation belongs to God and must be given to the priest, along with the ram by which atonement is made.

9Da mesma forma, pertencerão ao sacerdote todas as ofertas que os israelitas tirarem das suas coisas consagradas e levarem a ele.

9All the sacred offerings that the People of Israel bring to a priest belong to the priest.

10Enfim, as coisas consagradas de cada um serão do sacerdote; tudo que alguém lhe der será dele.

10Each person's sacred offerings are his own, but what one gives to the priest stays with the priest."

11E o SENHOR disse a Moisés:

12Fala aos israelitas: Se a mulher de alguém se desviar, pecando contra ele,

12"Tell the People of Israel, Say a man's wife goes off and has an affair, is unfaithful to him

13e algum homem se deitar com ela, e isso ficar escondido dos olhos do marido e for mantido em segredo; se ela se houver contaminado, e não houver testemunha contra ela, por não ter sido apanhada em flagrante;

13by sleeping with another man, but her husband knows nothing about it even though she has defiled herself. And then, even though there was no witness and she wasn't caught in the act,

14se o sentimento de ciúmes vier sobre ele, levando-o a ter ciúmes de sua mulher, por ela haver se contaminado, ou se vier tal sentimento sobre ele, levando-o a ter ciúmes de sua mulher, mesmo que ela não tenha se contaminado;

14feelings of jealousy come over the husband and he suspects that his wife is impure. Even if she is innocent and his jealousy and suspicions are groundless,

15o homem levará sua mulher diante do sacerdote e levará também sua oferta por ela: a décima parte de um efa de farinha de cevada, sobre a qual não colocará azeite nem incenso, porque é oferta de cereais por ciúmes, oferta de recordação, que faz recordar a culpa.

15he is to take his wife to the priest. He must also take an offering of two quarts of barley flour for her. He is to pour no oil on it or mix incense with it because it is a Grain-Offering for jealousy, a Grain-Offering for bringing the guilt out into the open.

16O sacerdote fará a mulher aproximar-se e a colocará diante do SENHOR.

16"The priest then is to take her and have her stand in the presence of God.

17Então pegará água sagrada num jarro de barro e nela colocará pó, que pegará no chão do tabernáculo.

17He is to take some holy water in a pottery jar and put some dust from the floor of The Dwelling in the water.

18Então apresentará a mulher diante do SENHOR, descobrirá a cabeça dela e lhe porá na mão a oferta de cereais para recordação, que é a oferta de cereais por ciúmes; e o sacerdote terá na mão a água de amargura, que traz consigo a maldição.

18After the priest has her stand in the presence of God he is to uncover her hair and place the exposure-offering in her hands, the Grain-Offering for jealousy, while he holds the bitter water that delivers a curse.

19Então fará com que ela jure e lhe dirá: Se nenhum homem se deitou contigo, e se não te desviaste para a impureza, violando o voto conjugal, sejas livre desta água de amargura, que traz consigo a maldição;

19Then the priest will put the woman under oath and say, 'If no man has slept with you and you have not had an adulterous affair and become impure while married to your husband, may this bitter water that delivers a curse not harm you.

20mas se te desviaste, violando o voto conjugal, e te contaminaste, e algum homem que não é teu marido se deitou contigo;

20But if you have had an affair while married to your husband and have defiled yourself by sleeping with a man other than your husband'—

21então o sacerdote, fazendo a mulher prestar o juramento de maldição, lhe dirá: O SENHOR te ponha por maldição e praga no meio do teu povo, fazendo-te o SENHOR definhar a tua coxa e inchar o teu ventre;

21here the priest puts the woman under this curse—'may God cause your people to curse and revile you when he makes your womb shrivel and your belly swell.

22e esta água que traz consigo a maldição entrará nas tuas entranhas para fazer inchar o teu ventre e definhar a tua coxa. Então a mulher dirá: Amém, amém.

22Let this water that delivers a curse enter your body so that your belly swells and your womb shrivels.'"Then the woman shall say, 'Amen. Amen.'

23O sacerdote escreverá essas maldições num livro e as apagará com a água de amargura;

23"The priest is to write these curses on a scroll and then wash the words off into the bitter water.
AS21
24e fará a mulher beber a água de amargura, que traz consigo a maldição. E a água que traz consigo a maldição entrará nela, produzindo amargura.

24He then is to give the woman the bitter water that delivers a curse. This water will enter her body and cause acute pain.

25O sacerdote pegará a oferta de cereais por ciúmes da mão da mulher, a moverá diante do SENHOR e a levará ao altar.

25The priest then is to take from her hands a handful of the Grain-Offering for jealousy, wave it before God, and bring it to the Altar.

26Também pegará um punhado da oferta de cereais como memorial da oferta e o queimará sobre o altar; e depois fará a mulher beber a água.

26The priest then is to take a handful of the Grain-Offering, using it as an exposure-offering, and burn it on the Altar; after this he is to make her drink the water.

27Quando tiver feito que ela beba a água, acontecerá que, se ela houver se contaminado e pecado contra o marido, a água que traz consigo a maldição entrará nela, tornando-se amarga. Seu ventre inchará e sua coxa definhará; e a mulher será uma maldição no meio do seu povo.

27If she has defiled herself in being unfaithful to her husband, when she drinks the water that delivers a curse, it will enter her body and cause acute pain; her belly will swell and her womb shrivel. She will be cursed among her people.

28Mas, se a mulher não houver se contaminado e for inocente, então estará livre e terá filhos.

28But if she has not defiled herself and is innocent of impurity, her name will be cleared and she will be able to have children.

29Essa é a lei dos ciúmes, quando uma mulher quebra o voto conjugal, ao desviar-se e se contaminar;

29"This is the law of jealousy in a case where a woman goes off and has an affair and defiles herself while married to her husband,

30ou a respeito do homem sobre quem vier o sentimento de ciúmes, e ele tiver ciúmes de sua mulher. Ele apresentará a mulher diante do SENHOR, e o sacerdote cumprirá toda essa lei para com ela.

30or a husband is tormented with feelings of jealousy because he suspects his wife. The priest is to have her stand in the presence of God and go through this entire procedure with her.

31Esse homem estará livre de culpa. A mulher, porém, terá sua culpa sobre si.

31The husband will be cleared of wrong, but the woman will pay for her wrong."
