2Fala a Arão: Quando acenderes as lâmpadas, as sete lâmpadas iluminarão o espaço em frente ao candelabro.

2"Tell Aaron, Install the seven lamps so they will throw light in front of the Lampstand."

3E Arão assim fez. Acendeu as lâmpadas do candelabro de modo que iluminassem o espaço em frente dele, conforme o SENHOR havia ordenado a Moisés.

3Aaron did just that. He installed the lamps so they threw light in front of the Lampstand, as God had instructed Moses.

4Assim era o candelabro: uma peça de ouro batido; desde o seu pedestal até as suas flores ele era de ouro batido. Moisés fez o candelabro conforme o modelo que o SENHOR lhe havia mostrado.

4The Lampstand was made of hammered gold from its stem to its petals. It was made precisely to the design God had shown Moses.

6Separa os levitas dentre os israelitas e purifica-os;

6"Take the Levites from the midst of the People of Israel and purify them for doing God's work.

7e assim farás para purificá-los: asperge sobre eles a água da purificação; e eles rasparão todo o corpo com navalha, lavarão as suas vestes e se purificarão.
MSG
7This is the way you will do it: Sprinkle water of absolution on them; have them shave their entire bodies; have them scrub their clothes. Then they will have purified themselves.

8Depois, pegarão um novilho, com a sua oferta de cereais da melhor farinha amassada com azeite; e tu pegarás outro novilho para oferta pelo pecado.

8"Have them take a young bull with its accompanying Grain-Offering of fine flour mixed with oil, plus a second young bull for an Absolution-Offering.

9Farás os levitas se aproximarem da tenda da revelação e reunirás toda a comunidade dos israelitas.

9Bring the Levites to the front of the Tent of Meeting and gather the entire community of Israel.

10Apresentarás os levitas diante do SENHOR, e os israelitas imporão as mãos sobre os levitas.

10Present the Levites before God as the People of Israel lay their hands on them.

11E Arão oferecerá os levitas diante do SENHOR como oferta de movimento da parte dos israelitas, para que sirvam no ministério do SENHOR.

11Aaron will present the Levites before God as a Wave-Offering from the People of Israel so that they will be ready to do God's work.

12Os levitas porão as mãos sobre a cabeça dos novilhos. Então, sacrificarás um como oferta pelo pecado e o outro como holocausto ao SENHOR, para fazer expiação pelos levitas.

12"Have the Levites place their hands on the heads of the bulls, selecting one for the Absolution-Offering and another for the Whole-Burnt-Offering to God to make atonement for the Levites.

13E porás os levitas diante de Arão e seus filhos, e os oferecerás como oferta de movimento ao SENHOR.

13Then have the Levites stand in front of Aaron and his sons and present them as a Wave-Offering to God.

14Assim separarás os levitas dentre os israelitas; e os levitas serão meus.

14This is the procedure for setting apart the Levites from the rest of the People of Israel; the Levites are exclusively for my use.

15Depois disso, os levitas virão para fazer o serviço da tenda da revelação, depois que os tiveres purificado e oferecido como oferta de movimento.

15"After you have purified the Levites and presented them as a Wave-Offering to God, they can go to work in the Tent of Meeting.

16Porque eles me são dados inteiramente dentre os israelitas; em lugar de todo que é o primeiro a nascer, isto é, do primogênito de todos os israelitas; eu os tenho tomado para mim.

16The Levites have been selected out of the People of Israel for my exclusive use; they function in place of every firstborn male born to an Israelite woman.

17Porque todo primogênito entre os israelitas é meu, tanto entre os homens como entre os animais. No dia em que matei todo primogênito na terra do Egito, eu os santifiquei para mim.

17Every firstborn male in Israel, animal or human, is set apart for my use. When I struck down all the firstborn of Egypt, I consecrated them for my holy uses.

18Mas tomei os levitas em lugar de todos os primogênitos entre os israelitas.

18But now I take the Levites as stand-ins in place of every firstborn son in Israel,

19Dentre os israelitas, dei os levitas a Arão e a seus filhos, para fazerem o serviço em lugar dos israelitas, na tenda da revelação; e para fazerem expiação por eles, a fim de que não haja praga entre eles, quando se aproximarem do santuário.

19selected out of the People of Israel, and I have given the Levites to Aaron and his sons to do all the work involved in the Tent of Meeting on behalf of all the People of Israel and to make atonement for them so that nothing bad will happen to them when they approach the Sanctuary."

20Assim Moisés, Arão e toda a comunidade dos israelitas fizeram aos levitas. Os israelitas lhes fizeram conforme tudo o que o SENHOR havia ordenado a Moisés em relação aos levitas.

20Moses, Aaron, and the entire community of the People of Israel carried out these procedures with the Levites, just as God had commanded Moses.

21Então, os levitas purificaram-se e lavaram suas vestes. E Arão os ofereceu como oferta de movimento diante do SENHOR e fez expiação por eles, para purificá-los.

21The Levites purified themselves and scrubbed their clothes. Then Aaron presented them as a Wave-Offering before God and made atonement for them to purify them.

22Depois disso, os levitas vieram para fazer o seu serviço na tenda da revelação, diante de Arão e seus filhos. E lhes fizeram conforme o SENHOR havia ordenado a Moisés acerca dos levitas.

22Only then did the Levites go to work at the Tent of Meeting. Aaron and his sons supervised them following the directions God had given.

24Esta será a responsabilidade dos levitas: Da idade de vinte e cinco anos para cima, começarão a se ocupar do serviço da tenda da revelação;

24"These are your instructions regarding the Levites: At the age of twenty-five they will join the work force in the Tent of Meeting;
AS21
25e aos cinqüenta anos de idade sairão desse serviço e não o realizarão mais.
MSG
25at the age of fifty they must retire from the work.
AS21
26Todavia, continuarão a servir com os outros levitas na tenda da revelação, orientando-os no cumprimento de suas tarefas; mas não farão trabalho algum. Assim farás para com os levitas em relação às suas tarefas.

26They can assist their brothers in the tasks in the Tent of Meeting, but they are not permitted to do the actual work themselves. These are the ground rules for the work of the Levites."
