MSG
2"Would you mind if I said something to you?Under the circumstances it's hard to keep quiet.
NASB

NASB

MSG
9One breath from God and they fall apart, one blast of his anger and there's nothing left of them.
NASB

NASB
11'The lion perishes for lack of prey, And the whelps of the lioness are scattered.
MSG
11No teeth, no prey—and the cubswander off to fend for themselves.
NASB
12'Now a word was brought to me stealthily, And my ear received a whisper of it.
MSG
12"A word came to me in secret—a mere whisper of a word, but I heard it clearly.
NASB
13'Amid disquieting thoughts from the visions of the night, When deep sleep falls on men,
MSG
13It came in a scary dream one night, after I had fallen into a deep, deep sleep.
NASB
14Dread came upon me, and trembling, And made all my bones shake.
MSG
14Dread stared me in the face, and Terror.I was scared to death—I shook from head to foot.
NASB
15'Then a spirit passed by my face; The hair of my flesh bristled up.
MSG
15A spirit glided right in front of me—the hair on my head stood on end.
NASB
16'It stood still, but I could not discern its appearance; A form before my eyes; silence, then I heard a voice:
MSG
16I couldn't tell what it was that appeared there—a blur... and then I heard a muffled voice:
NASB
17'Can mankind be just before God? Can a man be pure before his Maker?
MSG

NASB
18'He puts no trust even in His servants; And against His angels He charges error.
MSG
18Why, God doesn't even trust his own servants, doesn't even cheer his angels,
NASB
19'How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, Whose foundation is in the dust, Who are crushed before the moth!
MSG
19So how much less these bodies composed of mud, fragile as moths?
NASB
20'Between morning and evening they are broken in pieces; Unobserved, they perish forever.
MSG
20These bodies of ours are here today and gone tomorrow, and no one even notices—gone without a trace.
NASB
