But Joab said to the king, “May the LORD your God add to the people a hundred times as many as they are, while the eyes of my lord the king still see it, but why does my lord the king delight in this thing?”

And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?

But Joab said to the king, "May the LORD your God add to the people a hundred times as many as there are, and let the eyes of my lord the king see it; but why does my lord the king want to do this thing?"

And Joab said unto the king, Now Jehovah thy God add unto the people, how many soever they may be, a hundredfold; and may the eyes of my lord the king see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?

But Joab replied to the king: "May the Lord your God increase the number of people a hundredfold for my lord the king to see it with his own eyes. But why does it please my lord to do a thing of this kind?"

But Joab said to the king, 'Now may the LORD your God add to the people a hundred times as many as they are, while the eyes of my lord the king see; but why does my lord the king delight in this thing?'

But Joab replied to the king, “May the LORD your God multiply the troops a hundred times over, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king want to do such a thing?”

And Joab said to the king, “Now may the LORD your God add to the people a hundred times more than there are, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king desire this thing?”

But Joab replied to the king, “May the LORD your God let you live to see a hundred times as many people as there are now! But why, my lord the king, do you want to do this?”

Joab said to the king, “Now may Yahweh your God add to the people, however many they may be, one hundred times; and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king delight in this thing?”

Então disse Joabe ao rei: Ora, multiplique o SENHOR teu Deus a este povo cem vezes tanto quanto agora é, e os olhos do rei meu senhor o vejam; mas, por que deseja o rei meu SENHOR este negócio?

Então disse Joabe ao rei: Ora, multiplique o Senhor teu Deus a este povo cem vezes tanto quanto agora é, e os olhos do rei meu senhor o vejam. Mas por que tem prazer nisto o rei meu senhor;

Então, disse Joabe ao rei: Ora, multiplique o SENHOR, teu Deus, a este povo cem vezes tanto quanto agora é, e os olhos do rei, meu senhor, o vejam; mas por que deseja o rei, meu senhor, este negócio?

Então Joabe disse ao rei: Que o SENHOR, teu Deus, multiplique este povo cem vezes mais, e o rei, meu senhor, o veja. Mas, por que o rei, meu senhor, teria prazer em fazer isso?

Joab disse ao rei: “Que o SENHOR, teu Deus, multiplique o povo cem vezes mais do que agora, e que o veja meu senhor o rei! Mas que pretende meu senhor o rei com isto? ”

E Joabe respondeu ao rei: “Multiplique Yahweh teu Deus o povo cem vezes mais do que é agora, de sorte que os olhos do senhor meu rei o contemplem, mas por que teria o senhor meu rei tal desejo?”

Joabe resistiu e disse ao rei: “Que o Eterno multiplique cem vezes o número de pessoas à vista do meu senhor, mas qual a necessidade disso? "

Então Joabe disse ao rei: — Que o SENHOR, seu Deus, multiplique este povo cem vezes mais, e que o rei, meu senhor, o veja! Mas por que o rei, meu senhor, quer fazer uma coisa dessas?

Joabe, porém, respondeu: “Que o SENHOR, o seu Deus, faça o rei, o meu senhor, viver até que veja a população do seu reino aumentar cem vezes. Mas por que o rei, o meu senhor, deseja fazer essa contagem?

Mas Joabe respondeu ao rei: — Que o SENHOR, nosso Deus, faça o povo de Israel cem vezes mais numeroso do que é agora, e que o senhor viva para vê-lo fazer isso! Mas por que o senhor quer fazer essa contagem?

Joabe, porém, respondeu ao rei: “Que o SENHOR, o teu Deus, multiplique o povo por cem, e que os olhos do rei, meu senhor, o vejam! Mas, por que o rei, meu senhor, deseja fazer isso?”

Joabe, porém, respondeu ao rei: “Que o SENHOR, seu Deus, dê ao rei vida longa para ver a população cem vezes mais numerosa do que é hoje! Mas por que meu senhor, o rei, deseja fazer essa contagem?”.

Joabe replicou: “Que o SENHOR, teu Deus, permita que vivas o bastante para veres este povo multiplicado cem vezes neste reino! Que interesse tens tu nesse recenseamento?”

Joabe respondeu ao rei: Queira Jeová, teu Deus, multiplicar o povo cem vezes mais do que agora é, e veja-o o rei, meu senhor! Mas por que tem prazer nisso o rei, meu senhor?

Mas Joabe disse ao rei: — Que o SENHOR, seu Deus, multiplique cem vezes o número das suas tropas e que Sua Majestade possa ver com seus próprios olhos mas, por que deseja fazer tal coisa?

Pero Joab dijo al rey: ¡YHVH tu Dios añada al pueblo cien veces más, y que mi señor el rey lo vea! Pero, ¿por qué desea esto mi señor el rey?

Pero Joab respondió al rey: Que el SEÑOR tu Dios añada al pueblo cien veces más de lo que son, mientras todavía • vean los ojos de mi señor el rey; pero, ¿por qué se complace mi señor el rey en esto?

Pero Joab le respondió al rey: —¡Que el SEÑOR su Dios le dé vida para ver cien veces más personas de las que hay ahora! ¿Pero por qué, mi señor el rey, quiere usted hacer tal cosa?

Joab le respondió: —¡Que el SEÑOR su Dios multiplique cien veces las tropas de Su Majestad, y le permita llegar a verlo con sus propios ojos! Pero ¿qué lleva a Su Majestad a hacer tal cosa?

Pero Joab le dijo al rey: —Que el SEÑOR su Dios multiplique cien veces el número de sus tropas y que Su Majestad pueda verlo con sus propios ojos pero, ¿por qué quiere Su Majestad hacer tal cosa?

Y Joab respondió al rey: Añada Jehová tu Dios al pueblo cien veces tanto de lo que son, y que lo vea mi señor el rey; mas ¿para qué quiere esto mi señor el rey?

Joab dit au roi : Que l’Eternel, ton Dieu, rende le peuple cent fois plus nombreux et que mon seigneur le roi puisse encore le voir de ses yeux ! Mais pourquoi mon seigneur le roi désire-t-il faire pareille chose ?

Doch Joab wandte ein: »Mein König, ich wünsche dir ja, dass der HERR, dein Gott, das Volk noch zu deinen Lebzeiten hundertmal größer werden lässt! Aber ich verstehe nicht, warum du nun so etwas verlangst.«

Joab sprach zu dem König: Der HERR, dein Gott, tue diesem Volk, wie es jetzt ist, noch hundertmal soviel, daß mein Herr, der König, seiner Augen Lust daran sehe; aber was hat mein Herr König zu dieser Sache Lust?

Ioab rispose al re: «Il SIGNORE, il Dio tuo, renda il popolo cento volte più numeroso di quello che è, e faccia sì che gli occhi del re, mio signore, possano vederlo! Ma perché il re mio signore prende piacere nel far questo?»

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יֹואָ֜ב אֶל־הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וְיֹוסֵ֣ף יְהוָה֩ אֱלֹהֶ֨יךָ אֶל־הָעָ֜ם כָּהֵ֤ם ׀ וְכָהֵם֙ מֵאָ֣ה פְעָמִ֔ים וְעֵינֵ֥י אֲדֹנִֽי־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ רֹאֹ֑ות וַאדֹנִ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לָ֥מָּה חָפֵ֖ץ בַּדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃

καί εἶπον ιωαβ πρός ὁ βασιλεύς καί προςτίθημι κύριος ὁ θεός σύ πρός ὁ λαός ὥσπερ αὐτός καί ὥσπερ αὐτός ἑκατονταπλασίων καί ὀφθαλμός ὁ κύριος ἐγώ ὁ βασιλεύς ὁράω καί ὁ κύριος ἐγώ ὁ βασιλεύς ἵνα τίς βούλομαι ἐν ὁ λόγος οὗτος

Dixitque Joab regi : Adaugeat Dominus Deus tuus ad populum tuum, quantus nunc est, iterumque centuplicet in conspectu domini mei regis : sed quid sibi dominus meus rex vult in re hujuscemodi ?
