Contudo, deixai na terra o tronco com as raízes, presos com uma cinta de ferro e de bronze; fique ele no chão, em meio à relva do campo. Ele será regado pelo orvalho do céu e se alimentará da grama da terra, como os animais.

Mais laissez en terre le tronc où se trouvent les racines, et liez-le avec des chaînes de fer et d’airain, parmi l’herbe des champs. Qu’il soit trempé de la rosée du ciel, et qu’il ait, comme les bêtes, l’herbe de la terre pour partage.

Hoc somnium vidi ego Nabuchodonosor rex : tu ergo Baltassar interpretationem narra festinus, quia omnes sapientes regni mei non queunt solutionem edicere mihi : tu autem potes, quia spiritus deorum sanctorum in te est.
